ABOUT ARON
How It All Started
My love for motorsport started at 9 years old, cycling to the annual Phoenix Park races in Dublin with my Dad. Three years later, I was hooked on Formula 1, watching every Sunday on RTE and Setanta Sports. I spent 2-3 years as part of the orange army marshalling at Mondello Park, getting as close to the action as I could without being in the car.
After a couple of trackdays in 2013/2014, life took over. Fast forward to 2020, I decided to get serious about sim racing, transitioning from F1 on PlayStation to a proper racing setup. Over four years, what started as a hobby became a daily obsession. The sim taught me tracks, racecraft, and consistency, but I knew I needed to experience the real thing.

In November 2024, I arranged a trackday with Lianne Motorsport for January 2025 in a Global Light. Bike powered, sequential gearbox, raw racing machine. I was sold instantly. By June 2025, I was racing competitively in the championship.
The learning curve has been steep. That solid rear axle requires a completely different driving style. You have to throw it around to get it to turn in. I've learned the hard way too, putting it into the barriers during a trackday while pushing to find the limits. No reset button in real life, just an expensive repair bill. But that crash taught me more about car control than anything else. Sometimes you have to let the car go rather than fighting it.
This season I'm sitting 5th overall in Global Light. My breakthrough came in the wettest race of the year when the top two crashed out fighting for the lead, handing me my first podium. 3rd place. It wasn't how I dreamed of getting there, but crossing that line on the podium felt incredible.
The goal for 2026 is simple: win a race. My wife thinks I'm mad, but she supports every lap.
